thanks for the comments G and N!..lol don't you all know my 'pain' process so well now! it is easy to like it at so many early stages and it IS painful to cover over something that still has so many possibilities.
if only the infinite imagination could be contained. something imagined and finished by the mind's eye is always better than what i could ever make. right?
so of course as the painting progresses it gets more and more difficult to enjoy. someday i'll get my paintings to really embrace this concept. and someday i'll get it JUST right.
back to painting..and ultimately disappointment. LOL thanks for watching.
met too. I love seeing what makes the cut and what doesn't. We all see something about to happen... but I am proven wrong and love the surprise each time.
Katelyn you make the paintings grow and evolve into much more lucid/mysterious places. Like the sculptor, you 'discover' the art embedded in the stone. Always a joy to watch, where ever you start from... your figures come alive. thanks for sharing the stages of development.

Outstanding!! Apparently underpainting can work!
i guess we'll have to see if it still works when the painting is finished! ;-)
In my opinion it already stands as a painting on its own. I love those semi-finished works. I just love it !
I agree, but so know that this great painting will be spectacular after K is goes through the pain process.
;-)
Can't wait to see what's in store for this one.
Have a great day K
